Consumer wellness software terms for Stryde. Plain language, no legalese where avoidable.
Last updated: May 13, 2026
By using Stryde, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Continued use after a material change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Stryde is a data storage and computation platform for consumer wellness. It stores your health and training data, computes derived metrics (fitness scores, load trends, readiness, etc.), and exposes that data to AI models you choose to connect via MCP. It is not medical advice, not a medical device, and not a HIPAA-covered clinical service. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning a new exercise program or if you have concerns about your health.
Stryde stores and computes your data. It does not prescribe, recommend, direct, or exhort any course of action — athletic, medical, nutritional, or otherwise. Any coaching advice, training prescription, workout suggestion, or performance recommendation you receive is generated entirely by the third-party AI model you have chosen to connect (for example, Claude by Anthropic). Stryde has no control over, and accepts no responsibility for, the content of outputs produced by any connected AI model. The AI model operator's own terms of service and usage policies govern those outputs. You are solely responsible for evaluating whether any AI-generated suggestion is appropriate for your situation.
You own your data. This includes any health and fitness data you import from Apple Health, Google Health, Garmin Connect, or any other source. Stryde processes it solely on your behalf so you can import, analyze, export, and delete it. You grant Stryde a limited, non-exclusive license to process your data only to provide the service. We do not sell your data to third parties, and we do not use your data to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI or machine learning model — including the models that power the Stryde Coach.
Health data receives our strongest protections: AES-256-GCM encryption at the individual record level at rest; TLS 1.2+ in transit; encryption key material managed by Google Cloud KMS. We apply the principle of least-privilege — support and admin workflows can access account metadata but not your encrypted health payloads. We do not sell personal health data. We do not use your health data to train, evaluate, or fine-tune any AI foundation model. These commitments apply regardless of what third-party platform or wearable you imported your data from.
When you export data from Apple Health, Google Fit, Garmin Connect, or a similar platform and upload or sync it to Stryde, you represent that you have the right to share that data with us. Stryde receives only the data you explicitly export or authorize — we do not have ongoing access to your device or third-party account. You are responsible for reviewing what data you choose to share and for complying with the terms of the originating platform.
Stryde uses industry-standard security controls — encryption, KMS key management, access scoping, and Google OAuth. However, no system is unconditionally secure. You are responsible for: (1) maintaining the security of your Google account, including enabling MFA; (2) keeping any Stryde MCP or API tokens confidential and not sharing them with others; (3) revoking tokens promptly if you believe they have been exposed; and (4) using Stryde on devices and networks you trust. Stryde's liability does not extend to losses arising from your failure to secure your credentials or tokens.
When you connect Claude or another MCP client with a token you generate, you authorize that client to access your Stryde data through scoped tools. The token is tied to your account only. Revoke or rotate the token at any time from Settings → Security to immediately end that client's access. You are responsible for keeping your tokens secure and for understanding what data any connected AI client will be able to read on your behalf.
You agree not to: scrape the service beyond its intended use; share your tokens with others; impersonate another user; attempt to bypass access controls, invite gates, or rate limits; interfere with service availability; or use the service in any manner prohibited by applicable law.
You may delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Account at any time. Stryde will complete deletion from active systems within 30 days, except where retention is legally required (e.g., billing records, fraud prevention). Stryde may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Stryde's total liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. Stryde is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages. Stryde is expressly not liable for any outcome resulting from following a recommendation, training prescription, or suggestion generated by any AI model connected to the service — those outputs are produced by third-party AI providers, not by Stryde. The service is provided 'as-is' without warranty of fitness for a particular purpose.
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the entity operating Stryde is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.
We will provide at least 30 days notice for material changes to these terms when practical, via email or in-app notification. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. For minor clarifications, we may update without notice.
